Brauerei 8143 is a specialty micro-brewery located in Stallikon, Switzerland, just outside Zurich. We specialize in producing fresh, seasonal beers by the month as well as special order kegs for events in and around Zurich. Brew Meister Sebastian Risse is the head brewer and owner. Sebastian has 4 years experience brewing speciality beers and 20+ years in the research and development of Hyde Park Brewing Systems and Brauerei 8143. Hyde Park Brewing Systems (HPBS) is the parent company of Brauerei 8143. HPBS produced and continually manages Brauerei 8143's fully automated brewing system as well as oversee all system training including recipe development using HPBS's customizable software

Brewmeister Sebastian Risse

Sebastian was born and raised in Höxter, Germany. He began his research in Germany, and then moved to England and later to Florida/US were he explored styles and views on beer as well as visited countless private breweries in an effort to perfect his own system. Seeing the appreciation and demand for quality brews, Sebastian decided to move to Switzerland and open Brauerei 8143 in the Zurich area.

Brauerei 8143 derives its name and logo from its location. We are located in Stallikon, Switzerland with the Zip Code of 8143. Mt. Uetliberg separates us from Zurich, giving us the tag line "Grüsse von der anderen Seite des Uetlibergs" meaning "Greetings from the other side of the Uetliberg".
